Abbey came into Ragbrai suffering from cat scratch fever, being hit by a car, and little sleep, only to suffer from chemical burns from a poorly devised beer slide that used condensed floor cleaner as the slippy. When asked if she hoped that next year wold be less eventful she responded "Crap, My left arm is starting to go numb, I taste copper in my mouth.........."
